Dr Shri Kant

GP Board Member

After completing medical qualifications in India in 1975, Dr Kant came to the UK in 1979 and underwent postgraduate training in hospital medicine and general practice before becoming a principal.  Since 1985, he has been a GP in Little Lever.  During this time he has been involved in number of significant roles in various capacities, including being the board member of the previous Bolton South East PCG, and taking an active role in clinical governance and Caldicott Guardianship.

His outside roles include being a medical member of the Appeal Tribunal for the Department for Work and Pensions for a number of years.  He also taught medical students from Manchester University from 1996 to 2010, and was a GP Appraiser for the Deanery from 2005 to 2015.
