Bolton vaccination bus locations and walk-in clinics

2/7/21

Bolton’s vaccination bus will be visiting three separate locations next week as part of the ongoing vaccination programme for the borough.

The bus will make a return visit to Bolton Cricket Club and New Bury UCAN as well as pulling in to Fishbrook Industrial Park, Stoneclough Road, Kearsley.

The bus locations form part of the borough’s overall walk-in vaccination offer for Bolton residents over the age of 18 for the week commencing July 5.

Dr Helen Wall, senior responsible officer for the vaccination programme in Bolton, said: “We are still on a mission to vaccinate as many of our Bolton residents as possible ahead of the proposed easing of restrictions on July 19.

“We appreciate that getting a vaccination might not be top of everyone’s priority list and there have been some enjoyable distractions recently, with the Euros, Wimbledon and local events such as Ironman UK. However, we must not lose sight of what we are trying to achieve.

“Almost 190,000 people living in Bolton have had their first dose, which is fantastic, but we still have thousands of people to vaccinate.

“It’s also extremely important for people to get their second dose for maximum protection against becoming seriously unwell. I would urge people to take advantage of one of the many walk-in offers we have running each week. are designed to make it as easy as possible for people to just ‘drop in’ for their vaccination without the need for an appointment.

“Please, let’s carry on and complete our important mission!”

The national guidance is eight weeks between first and second doses. We are unable to administer second doses earlier than eight weeks, except for clinical reasons.
