Bolton vaccination walk-in clinics w/c July 9

9/7/21

While England’s footballers have their sights set on winning the Euros, Bolton is continuing with its goal to vaccinate as many residents as possible.

The Covid-19 vaccination buses will be at Moses Gate Country Park in Farnworth; Waters Meeting Health Centre; The Melting Pot Community Hall; Great Lever Children’s Centre; and Fishbrook Industrial Estate in Kearsley over the coming days.

The bus locations are part of the borough’s walk-in vaccination offer for Bolton residents aged 18 and over for the week commencing July 9.

There are plenty of options for people to get their first or second jabs, including at the new ground-floor site in The Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton town centre.

Dr Helen Wall, Senior Responsible Officer for the vaccination programme in Bolton, said: “Good luck to England in the Euros final on Sunday - we are hoping that they can bring it home!

“But, while the nation is getting swept up in football fever, we are continuing with our goal to vaccinate as many people as possible ahead of the proposed easing of restrictions on July 19.

“The great news is that more than 190,000 people living in Bolton have had their first dose of the potentially life-saving vaccine. Thank you to everyone who has had their jab.

“We can’t take our eye off the ball. We still have more people to vaccinate and it is also important that people get their second dose to ensure maximum protection against becoming seriously unwell.

“Please come along to one of our walk-in clinics for your first or second dose – there’s lots of choice! Anyone who needs their second dose can also call our lines for help.

“Let’s keep going. There’s lots to celebrate but we can’t stop now.”

The national guidance is eight weeks between first and second doses. We are unable to administer second doses earlier than eight weeks, except for clinical reasons.
